WhatsApp receipt submission will let clients send a receipt photo directly through WhatsApp, a channel most already use daily, without switching to a separate app or logging into a portal. This feature is currently in development and is not yet available, it is not part of Receiptflow's live capture methods today.

A dedicated number for the practice

Once launched, each practice will have a dedicated WhatsApp number for clients to send receipts to, distinct from any personal or general enquiry number the practice already uses.

Same processing as every other capture method

Once received, the receipt will be matched to the client's account and enter the same extraction queue as any other capture method, no separate WhatsApp-only workflow.

The problem it removes

Why WhatsApp matters for receipt collection

Many clients already default to WhatsApp for quick messages, including sending photos to their accountant informally. A dedicated, structured WhatsApp channel is designed to turn that existing habit into a proper capture method, rather than leaving receipts stranded in an unstructured chat thread.

No informal chat thread

Receipts sent to a personal WhatsApp today are easy to lose track of, a dedicated number keeps submissions structured.

No new habit to build

Clients already send photos on WhatsApp regularly, this channel meets them where they already are.

No separate follow-up process

Once launched, receipts will flow into the same queue as every other capture method, no manual forwarding needed.

Who it's for

Clients who already message on WhatsApp

Clients who message informally today

Anyone already sending a receipt photo to their accountant over WhatsApp will have a structured channel for it.

Sole traders and small businesses

Practices serving smaller clients who lean on messaging apps rather than formal software for day-to-day contact.

Practices reducing app fatigue

Clients who already resist adding another app benefit from a channel they use for everything else already.
