The Receiptflow mobile app, available on iOS and Android, gives access to the same capture, review, and status checking available on desktop. A receipt does not have to wait until someone is back at a desk, it can be photographed and sent for processing the moment it lands.

Capture where the spending happens

Receipts arrive at a fuel stop, a client meeting, a supermarket run, not conveniently at a desktop. The camera captures the receipt directly in the app, no separate photo app or file transfer step needed.

ManualAuto capture

Same processing, no mobile-only workflow

Photos taken in the app go through the same extraction as any other receipt capture method, there is no separate mobile queue or reduced feature set to work around.

Everything Receiptflow does on desktop, from your phone.

Check status without a desktop

Team members can check what has been reviewed or approved directly from the app, useful for a quick check between client visits rather than waiting to be back at the office.

Clients use it too, not just the practice team

The same app clients can use to submit receipts on the go, alongside or instead of the client submission portal, matched to however they prefer to work.

The problem it removes

Why receipts get lost between the moment and the desk

A receipt handed over in the field and set aside "for later" is a receipt at risk of getting lost, faded, or forgotten. Mobile access closes the gap between when a receipt is received and when it is captured.

No delayed capture

A receipt can be photographed the moment it is handed over, not saved in a pocket until the end of the day.

No desktop dependency

Capture, review, and status checks are all available without waiting to be back at a computer.

No separate mobile experience to learn

The app mirrors the same features as desktop, so there is nothing new to learn to use it effectively.

Who it's for

Anyone who spends away from a desk

Field-based staff and directors

Fuel, tools, materials, mileage-adjacent purchases made on the move are captured as they happen.

Clients who prefer mobile

A client who lives on their phone can submit receipts through the app rather than a desktop portal.

Team members working remotely

Checking review status or capturing a receipt from home or on site, without needing office access.

FAQs

Questions about the mobile app

Mobile receipts are captured the same way as desktop, see Smart Receipt Capture.

Is the Receiptflow app available on both iOS and Android?

Yes, the app is available for both platforms, with the same capture and review functionality on each.

Can I do everything on mobile that I can on desktop?

The core capture and review functions are available on mobile, some setup tasks like chart of accounts mapping are better suited to desktop.

Do clients use the same app as the practice team?

Yes, clients can use the mobile app to submit receipts, alongside or instead of the Client Submission Portal.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

A connection is needed to upload and process receipts, captured photos can be queued and sent once connectivity returns.

Is there an extra cost for mobile app access?

No, mobile app access is included as part of the standard Receiptflow platform.

Can I approve receipts from mobile as an accountant?

Yes, review and approval are available on mobile, so reviewers are not limited to desktop for that step either.

How does mobile capture differ from bulk upload?

Mobile is built for capturing one receipt at a time on the move, for clearing a large backlog at once see Bulk Upload Processing, which is desktop-oriented.
