Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our backend systems. You will be responsible for integrating with third-party platforms and ensuring our infrastructure can scale with a growing user base. Close collaboration with our front end developers is essential. Experience in building for mobile applications is a key requirement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the backend services for Receiptflow;
• Design and implement REST APIs to support our mobile and web applications;
• Build a secure and robust third-party plugin system;
• Collaborate with DevOps and leverage CI/CD tools to ensure seamless deployments;
• Work closely with the product and mobile teams to ensure effective data synchronisation; and
• Utilise ClickUp for task management and employ tools such as Whimsical, dbdiagram, and Miro for workflow design.

Must-Have Skills

• Over 4 years of experience in backend development
• In-depth understanding of REST APIs and experience integrating third-party services;
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI;
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker and infrastructure as code; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, Supabase, or Firebase; and
• Experience with image transformations and optical character recognition (OCR).
